Image Awards 2019

Curley & Pynn Public Relations Management celebrated five award wins during the Image Awards hosted by the Florida Public Relations Association’s Orlando-Area Chapter April 23, 2019.

MAITLAND, Fla. (May 8, 2019) – Recognized with five awards for meeting the highest standards of public relations excellence, Curley & Pynn Public Relations Management celebrated the success of its work for clients in tourism, technology and economic development at the Image Awards hosted by the Florida Public Relations Association’s (FPRA) Orlando-Area Chapter April 23, 2019.

The annual Image Awards competition is a precursor to the statewide FPRA Golden Image Awards and honors work that includes sound research and planning, and meets the highest standard of production, execution and evaluation of results and budget.

Surrounded by over 100 industry colleagues, the Orlando-area firm received an Image Award and a Judges’ Award for outstanding work with client, accesso, that achieved maximum results while using a minimum amount of money, along with three Awards of Distinction for entries that met the standards of excellence set by a panel of judges.

Programs awarded include:

  • accesso Leadership transition – After learning of a significant change in company leadership, Curley & Pynn assisted accesso, global provider of virtual queuing technology and innovative point-of-sale and ticketing software, with development and implementation of a communications strategy that would be of key importance to the publicly traded company. In just a few months’ time, more than 50 media placements were secured in target outlets, including top-tier industry trade publications.
  • Electronic Arts “Get in the Game” STEAM Program – Striving to develop a workforce more representative of its diverse players worldwide, Electronic Arts partnered with Curley & Pynn to boost recruiting efforts targeting women. “Get in the Game” STEAM Program successfully introduced 10 female high school students to the video game industry and inspired them to pursue careers with the global interactive entertainment company.
  • Florida High Tech Corridor Council “Faces of Technology” – In 2018, Curley & Pynn continued the success of a 10-year-old program designed to showcase availability of talent and attract a skilled workforce to the 23-county Florida High Tech Corridor region. Video and written profiles of 12 local technologists were publicized to garner increased website and social media visits, and nearly 50 media placements with potential to reach 36 million readers.
  • UCF Life Sciences Incubator – Curley & Pynn spearheaded the grand opening of the University of Central Florida (UCF) Life Sciences Incubator in Lake Nona Medical City – one of only two wet-lab incubators in Florida. More than 75 dignitaries and community leaders attended the event, including a state senator and city commissioner, and it was covered in 13 media stories with potential to reach nearly 11 million readers.
