MAITLAND, Fla. (Aug. 2, 2019) – For the sixth consecutive year, Curley & Pynn Public Relations and Marketing Communications received high honors at the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Sunshine District Radiance Awards for excellence in public relations campaigns and tactics.
Founded in 1947, PRSA is the nation’s largest organization of communications professionals, serving more than 30,000 professional and student members. Representing PRSA members throughout Florida, the PRSA Sunshine District honored Curley & Pynn with three awards during its annual Radiance Awards event, including one Radiance Award and two Awards of Commendation.
Radiance Award
Curley & Pynn received a Radiance Award – the highest honor in the community relations category – for Electronic Arts’ (EA) “Get in the Game” STEAM Program, a weeklong initiative designed to introduce female high school students to the video game industry and boost the company’s recruiting efforts targeting women. Over the course of a week, participants were afforded the opportunity to experience coding lessons, hands-on game development and inspirational presentations designed to enhance their skills and empower them to pursue further education in computer science. They also learned about culture and careers from EA employee advocates who ensure women are represented in the video game development process.
Awards of Commendation
Curley & Pynn was recognized with an Award of Commendation for a series of videos promoting the Florida High Tech Corridor Council’s “Faces of Technology” program. In 2018, the program successfully garnered media coverage to showcase a robust tech community and availability of talent in the region for growing companies.
Additionally, the firm received a second Award of Commendation for the campaign surrounding the grand opening celebration of the University of Central Florida’s Life Sciences Incubator at Lake Nona. Curley & Pynn spearheaded the launch of the incubator – the first of its kind in Central Florida – and exceeded nearly all objectives following the successful execution of the event.
