Curley & Pynn Earns Top Public Relations Honors

MAITLAND, Fla. (April 30, 2010) – Curley & Pynn (C&P) received eight awards, including two “Grand Image” honors, at the 2010 Florida Public Relations Association – Orlando Area Chapter Image Awards, for developing strategic public relations programs and creating results-oriented communications tools.

The C&P team accepted honors for work on projects including the firm’s innovative Taking Aim blog; a full-color magazine featuring profiles of technology leaders and industry statistics in the 23-county Florida High Tech Corridor; a cost-effective video-based campaign spotlighting individuals and research projects in the Corridor; a franchise communications campaign aimed at effectively keeping Florida Public Utilities an investor-owned entity; and, a news release product launch for a manufacturing technology company.

Curley & Pynn earned the overall “Grand Image” award in two of three professional award categories.  The firm took home the highest award in the Audio/Visual Tools Category for increasing its Web presence through its company blog “Taking Aim,” which provides an interactive brand-consistent platform for the firm’s talented PR team members to share their expertise and increase the company’s Web presence.  C&P also earned the overall “Grand Image” award in the Public Relations Tools Category for announcing a complex B2B manufacturing finance program through a customer-focused news release for Lake Mary, Fla.-based FARO Technologies, a program which resulted in nearly 300 leads and more than 30 secured deals for the company.

Aimed at celebrating the craft of public relations in Orlando, the annual FPRA – Orlando Chapter Image Awards portray a standard of public relations excellence in the community.

In addition to the two “Grand Image” awards, Curley & Pynn received the following honors:

  • Florida Public Utilities Franchise Campaign – Award of Distinction, Public Affairs Category
