Florida Public Relations Association Names Roger Pynn President-Elect for 2014-2015

MAITLAND, Fla. (October 16, 2014) – The Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA) has chosen , president of Curley & Pynn Public Relations, to serve as president-elect for 2014-2015.

FPRA is a statewide professional organization for public relations practitioners and is the oldest organization of its kind in the United States.  Pynn has demonstrated longstanding commitment to FPRA throughout his 35 years in the profession.  He previously served the organization as president of the Central Florida chapter, chair of FPRA’s Counselors Network, and as a three-time statewide vice president.

In 2009, Pynn was presented FPRA’s highest honor, The John Dillin Award, and more recently in 2013 with the Past President’s Award during FPRA’s 75th annual conference.  FPRA’s Orlando Chapter recognized him for his talent and work ethic as Outstanding Public Relations Professional in 1987, just three years after he co-founded Curley & Pynn.

Pynn earned Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) and is a Certified Public Relations Counselor (CPRC) through FPRA. In addition to his involvement with the organization, he serves on the board of directors for the Florida Research Consortium and the board of visitors for the Nicholson School of Communications at the University of Central Florida, his alma mater.  He also chairs the Dean’s Advisory Board for the UCF College of Sciences.
