MAITLAND, Fla. (May 3, 2017) – The Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA) honored Curley & Pynn Public Relations (C&P) with four awards at its 2017 Orlando Area Chapter Image Award ceremony.
Curley & Pynn was recognized for outstanding public relations tools and programs achieved through strategic research and planning, as well as innovative execution and evaluation.
The Orlando-based firm, which has served national and regional clients for more than 30 years, was awarded with three Public Relations Program awards for:
- accesso PrismSM Launch – C&P managed a press conference at the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions Expo to launch accesso Prism, a wearable device that allows guests at theme parks and water parks to spend less time waiting in line. This initiative doubled projected objectives and resulted in 50 media placements and 14 media outlets in attendance at the press conference.
- Florida High Tech Corridor Communications – C&P designed and implemented an integrated marketing strategy that leveraged media relations, a printed magazine, a monthly eNewsletter, an annual event, and more, to share The Corridor story. These initiatives proved to be successful with over 50 stories published mentioning The Corridor in publications including the Orlando Sentinel and Tampa Bay Times, as well as national coverage in Washington, D.C.’s The Hill.
- U.S. Launch of EA “Play to Learn” Digital Education Initiative – C&P organized and executed a special event with the goal to raise awareness among community and government leaders of the positive impact of EA on job creation, its commitment to STEAM and revenue generation in Florida. C&P confirmed attendance of multiple state representatives and two local TV stations sent crews to the cover the event. The launch was covered in six stories, further spreading word of the initiative.
Curley & Pynn was also presented one Printed Tools of PR award for:
- accesso Prism Launch News Release – C&P created and managed media distribution of a news release for accesso Prism, as part of the overall strategy to launch the innovative wearable device. The news release distribution resulted in more than 50 trade and consumer media placements in outlets such as the Orlando Sentinel, Orlando Business Journal, Amusement Today and the Associated Press, with total circulation across all outlets exceeding 65 million.
“For more than 30 years, we have provided thoughtful and strategic communications counsel for our clients,” said Roger Pynn, APR, CPRC, Curley & Pynn president. “It’s an honor to be acknowledged for our hard work among Orlando’s best public relations programs.”
