What Says Thanksgiving Better than a Limerick?

Dan Wardby Dan Ward

We often challenge our team to limerick contests, a fun way to sharpen our writing skills by focusing on the importance of word choice, rhythm and meter.  So as we prepare for the holiday, I put pencil to paper for a traditional Thanksgiving limerick (OK, maybe it’s only a tradition in my office).

For this post I was drawing a blank

Should I rant, should I list, should I rank?

Then I thought of the ways

Staff and clients amaze

And I said, why not simply give thanks.

So I say to my colleagues and friends

Thank you all for the time that you spend.

Without substitution

You bring clients solutions

You’re the best, I do proudly contend.

To our clients, the reason we’re here

It’s your friendship that we hold most dear.

You allow us to soar

With work that we live for

We’re thankful for another great year.

Have a happy and healthy Thanksgiving, everyone!
