A Clean Sweep for Product Placement

by Kim Taylor

I clicked on a tweet today of one of the stars of Bravo’s “Million Dollar Listing New York.”  I love the show and follow its stars on Twitter because it’s amusing to watch them live-tweet when the show airs.

Much to my surprise, today’s tweet included an Instagram of a box of Swiffer products accompanied by a handwritten note from MSLGroup referencing a recent episode where Ryan was the victim of “flour bombing” as payback from a former fraternity pledge-turned-client.

This small, but clever, gesture from Swiffer via its agency, MSLGroup (Curley & Pynn proudly serves as the Central & North Florida affiliate for MSLGroup), resulted in a tweet to his nearly 45,000 Twitter followers and 9,400 Instagram followers.  MSL smartly got a little plug in for themselves in the process—truly a clean sweep for product placement.
