Roger earned the University of Central Florida Distinguished Alumnus Award, Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award and Alumni Distinguished Service Award, as well as Florida Public Relations Association’s highest honor, the John W. Dillin Award and FPRA Orlando Chapter’s Outstanding Public Relations Professional of the Year Award.

Around Town: 

Roger served as a director and member of the Executive Committee of the Central Florida STEM Alliance – a 10-county initiative to improve math and science education, as well as the Florida Research Consortium. He was elected 2013-2014 chair of FPRA’s Counselors Network and is the past statewide president for the Florida Public Relations Association (2015-2016).

Know-How: 

Before founding Curley & Pynn in 1984, Roger headed public relations for Westinghouse Power Generation Systems, Belcher Oil Co. (The Coastal Corp.) and The Public Relations Group at McAllister-Barker Associates. Previously he had been a bureau chief, reporter and metropolitan editor for the Orlando Sentinel.
